Steaming mussels with mustard

Ingredients

- 1 kg. fresh mussels, clean
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 50 ml. Altis Traditional Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 50 ml. dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons ouzo
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 50 ml. lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons parsley, minced
- Freshly ground pepper
- Salt
Instructions
EXECUTION
- In a big saucepan, we heat the olive oil and slightly saute the garlic; we add the mustard, wine, ouzo, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- Once we bring the liquids to a boil, we add the mussels and sprinkle with the parsley.
- We close the lid and continue to boil the mix in medium heat for 6-7 min.
- We remove the mix from the heat and remove any mussels that have not opened; we serve the mussels with their juices.
- We can add more flavour with star anise or fennel seeds
